योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-7, chapter-165, verse-8

जीवतः स्वप्नसमये मृतिबोधोदयं विना ।
परलोकात्मकं जाग्रत्किंचनापि न दृश्यते ॥ ८ ॥
jīvataḥ svapnasamaye mṛtibodhodayaṃ vinā ,
paralokātmakaṃ jāgratkiṃcanāpi na dṛśyate 8
8. jīvataḥ svapnasamaye mṛtibodhodayam vinā
paralokātmakaṃ jāgrat kiñcana api na dṛśyate
8. jīvataḥ svapnasamaye mṛtibodhodayam vinā
paralokātmakaṃ jāgrat kiñcana api na dṛśyate
8. For one who is living, in the dream state, without the arising of awareness of death, no waking state belonging to another world is ever seen.
