amburāśau prakrāntāḥ salila-taru-latā-sīkaraiḥ antarālaiḥ kusumaiḥ
bhrānta-māṇikya-muktaiḥ vyakta-avyakta-aṃśu-jālaiḥ pratipadam
itaraiḥ abhra-rūpaiḥ adabhraiḥ iva kāntiyuktaṃ vapuḥ kurvantaḥ
20. Those (sea creatures), accompanied by `makara`s, brave alligators, and crabs, set forth in the ocean. They revolved in widespread whirlpools, making their bodies appear radiant in the intervening spaces with the spray from aquatic plants and vines. This radiance was like that of flowers, scattered rubies and pearls, and networks of both visible and invisible rays, along with numerous other cloud-like forms appearing at every step.
