श्रीवसिष्ठ उवाच ।
इन्द्रियग्रामसंग्रामसेतुना भवसागरः ।
तीर्यते नेतरेणेह केनचिन्नाम कर्मणा ॥ १ ॥

tīryate netareṇeha kenacinnāma karmaṇā 1

iha itareṇa kenacit karmaṇā nāma na [tīryate].

1. Sri Vasishtha said: The ocean of transmigration (saṃsāra) is crossed by the bridge of the great battle against the multitude of sense organs, and by no other action (karma) whatsoever in this world.
