योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-4, chapter-12, verse-4

या एताः संविदो ब्राह्म्यो मननैककलङ्किताः ।
एतत्तत्कर्मणां बीजमप्यकर्मैव विद्धि ताः ॥ ४ ॥
yā etāḥ saṃvido brāhmyo mananaikakalaṅkitāḥ ,
etattatkarmaṇāṃ bījamapyakarmaiva viddhi tāḥ 4

4. Understand that these consciousnesses, which are divine (brāhmya) yet blemished by the singular defect of mentation, are indeed the seed of all actions (karma), and yet they are also verily inaction (karma) itself.
