योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-3, chapter-64, verse-15

अहंभावो हि दिक्कालव्यवच्छेदी कृताकृतिः ।
स्वयं संकल्पवशतो वातस्पन्द इव स्फुरन् ॥ १५ ॥
ahaṃbhāvo hi dikkālavyavacchedī kṛtākṛtiḥ ,
svayaṃ saṃkalpavaśato vātaspanda iva sphuran 15

15. Indeed, the ego (ahaṃbhāva) is that which distinguishes directions and time, creating forms. It spontaneously manifests by the power of its own mental resolve (saṅkalpa), just like a vibration of wind.
