वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-7, chapter-67, verse-16

अत्यद्भुतमिदं ब्रह्मन् वपुषा युक्तमुत्तमम् ।
कथं भगवता प्राप्तं कुतो वा केन वाहृतम् ॥१६॥
16. atyadbhutamidaṃ brahman vapuṣā yuktamuttamam ,
kathaṃ bhagavatā prāptaṃ kuto vā kena vāhṛtam.
16. atyadbhutam idam brahman vapuṣā yuktam uttamam |
katham bhagavatā prāptam kutaḥ vā kena vā āhṛtam
16. brahman! idam atyadbhutam uttamam vapuṣā yuktam (ābharaṇam);
katham bhagavatā prāptam? kutaḥ vā? kena vā āhṛtam?
16. "O Brahmin, this object, exceedingly wondrous and excellent, endowed with such beauty – how was it obtained by your revered self, or from where, or by whom was it brought?"
