पुराणे सुमहत् कार्यं भविष्यं हि मया श्रुतम् ।

3. purāṇe sumahat kāryaṃ bhaviṣyaṃ hi mayā śrutam ,

Indeed, a very great future task has been heard by me in the ancient texts (Purāṇas). It has been seen by me through (my) asceticism (tapas), and having heard it, it has become fully known to me.
