Among Mars and other planets, Venus is victorious whether it is moving in the northern course (Uttarāyaṇa) or even in the southern course (Dakṣiṇāyana). Another planet, if it is in its northern course, also becomes victorious when they are in mutual connection (conjunction or aspect).
