मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-93, verse-12

तुष्टाव च पितॄन्विप्रः स्तवैरेभिस्तथादृतः ।
एकाग्रः प्रयतो भूत्वा भक्तिनम्रात्मकन्धरः ॥१२॥
12. tuṣṭāva ca pitṝnvipraḥ stavairebhistathādṛtaḥ .
ekāgraḥ prayato bhūtvā bhaktinamrātmakandharaḥ.
12. tuṣṭāva ca pitṝn vipraḥ stavaiḥ ebhiḥ tathā ādṛtaḥ
ekāgraḥ prayataḥ bhūtvā bhaktinamrātmakandharaḥ
12. And the brahmin (vipraḥ), thus honored, praised the ancestors (pitṝn) with these hymns. Having become concentrated (ekāgraḥ) and pure (prayatā), with his own neck bowed in devotion (bhakti).
