मार्कण्डेय उवाच ।
इत्यृषेर्वचनं श्रुत्या ब्रह्मणोऽव्यक्तजन्मनः ।
नद्या विविक्ते पुलिने चकार पितृतर्पणम् ॥११॥

11. mārkaṇḍeya uvāca .
ityṛṣervacanaṃ śrutyā brahmaṇo'vyaktajanmanaḥ .

Mārkaṇḍeya said: Having heard these words of the sage (Brahmā), whose birth is unmanifest, he performed the ancestral offering (pitṛtarpaṇam) on a secluded riverbank.
