महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-4, chapter-16, verse-1

वैशंपायन उवाच ।
सा हता सूतपुत्रेण राजपुत्री समज्वलत् ।
वधं कृष्णा परीप्सन्ती सेनावाहस्य भामिनी ।
जगामावासमेवाथ तदा सा द्रुपदात्मजा ॥१॥
1. vaiśaṁpāyana uvāca ,
sā hatā sūtaputreṇa rājaputrī samajvalat ,
vadhaṁ kṛṣṇā parīpsantī senāvāhasya bhāminī ,
jagāmāvāsamevātha tadā sā drupadātmajā.

1. Vaiśampāyana said: "She, the princess, having been insulted by the son of a charioteer (Karṇa), blazed up in rage. Draupadi (Kṛṣṇā), the passionate woman, seeking the death of the army commander, then went directly to her dwelling."
