महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-46, verse-8

ईर्ष्यवो मानकामाश्च चण्डा असुहृदोऽबुधाः ।
स्त्रियो माननमर्हन्ति ता मानयत मानवाः ॥८॥
8. īrṣyavo mānakāmāśca caṇḍā asuhṛdo'budhāḥ ,
striyo mānanamarhanti tā mānayata mānavāḥ.
8. īrṣyavaḥ mānakāmāḥ ca caṇḍā asuhṛdaḥ abudhāḥ
striyaḥ mānanām arhanti tāḥ mānayata mānavāḥ
8. They can be jealous, desirous of honor, fierce, unfriendly, and ignorant. Yet, women deserve honor. Therefore, O humans, honor them.
