महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-29, verse-11

ततस्तु द्विशते काले लभते काण्डपृष्ठताम् ।
काण्डपृष्ठश्चिरं कालं तत्रैव परिवर्तते ॥११॥
11. tatastu dviśate kāle labhate kāṇḍapṛṣṭhatām ,
kāṇḍapṛṣṭhaściraṁ kālaṁ tatraiva parivartate.
11. tataḥ tu dviśate kāle labhate kāṇḍapṛṣṭhatām
kāṇḍapṛṣṭhaḥ ciram kālam tatra eva parivartate
11. tataḥ tu dviśate kāle kāṇḍapṛṣṭhatām labhate
kāṇḍapṛṣṭhaḥ ciram kālam tatra eva parivartate
11. Thereafter, after a period two hundred times as long, one attains the status of `kāṇḍapṛṣṭha` (a humpbacked person, or a being with a segmented back, possibly referring to a degraded form). As a `kāṇḍapṛṣṭha`, one continues to exist there for a long time.
