महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-111, verse-12

वृत्तशौचं मनःशौचं तीर्थशौचं परं हितम् ।
ज्ञानोत्पन्नं च यच्छौचं तच्छौचं परमं मतम् ॥१२॥
12. vṛttaśaucaṁ manaḥśaucaṁ tīrthaśaucaṁ paraṁ hitam ,
jñānotpannaṁ ca yacchaucaṁ tacchaucaṁ paramaṁ matam.
