महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-182, verse-4

सत्यं दानं दमोऽद्रोह आनृशंस्यं क्षमा घृणा ।
तपश्च दृश्यते यत्र स ब्राह्मण इति स्मृतः ॥४॥
4. satyaṁ dānaṁ damo'droha ānṛśaṁsyaṁ kṣamā ghṛṇā ,
