योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-7, chapter-8, verse-6

समाकर्ण्य गुरोर्वाक्यं यतन्ते ये स्वयत्नतः ।
संकल्पत्यागमामूलं पदप्राप्तौ जयन्ति ते ॥ ६ ॥
samākarṇya gurorvākyaṃ yatante ye svayatnataḥ ,
saṃkalpatyāgamāmūlaṃ padaprāptau jayanti te 6

6. Those who, having attentively heard the words of their spiritual teacher (guru), strive with their own effort and completely abandon all their intentions, they succeed in attaining the supreme state.
