ईदृशोऽयं जगद्वृक्षो जायतेऽहंत्वबीजतः ।
बीजे ज्ञानाग्निनिर्दग्धे नैव किंचन जायते ॥ २ ॥

This world-tree, of such a nature, arises from the seed of ego (ahaṅkāra). When that seed is utterly consumed by the fire of knowledge (jñāna), nothing at all is produced.
