वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-6, chapter-6, verse-10

गुणदोषावनिश्चित्य त्यक्त्वा दैवव्यपाश्रयम् ।
करिष्यामीति यः कार्यमुपेक्षेत् स नराधमः ॥१०॥
10. guṇadoṣāvaniścitya tyaktvā daivavyapāśrayam ,
kariṣyāmīti yaḥ kāryamupekṣet sa narādhamaḥ.

10. He who, without ascertaining the advantages and disadvantages, and having abandoned reliance on divine will (daiva), thinks 'I will do this!' but then neglects the task, he is the lowest among men.
