वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-5, chapter-39, verse-6

न ह्येकः साधको हेतुः स्वल्पस्यापीह कर्मणः ।
यो ह्यर्थं बहुधा वेद स समर्थो ऽर्थसाधने ॥६॥
6. na hyekaḥ sādhako hetuḥ svalpasyāpīha karmaṇaḥ ,
yo hyarthaṃ bahudhā veda sa samartho'rthasādhane.
6. na hi ekaḥ sādhakaḥ hetuḥ svalpasya api iha karmaṇaḥ |
yaḥ hi artham bahudhā veda saḥ samarthaḥ arthasādhane

6. Indeed, a single factor is not a sufficient cause even for the smallest action (karma) here. He who understands a matter in many ways is competent in achieving objectives.
