वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-3, chapter-66, verse-7

स पपात महाबाहुश्छिन्नबाहुर्महास्वनः ।
खं च गां च दिशश्चैव नादयञ्जलदो यथा ॥७॥
7. sa papāta mahābāhuśchinnabāhurmahāsvanaḥ ,
khaṃ ca gāṃ ca diśaścaiva nādayañjalado yathā.
7. sa papāta mahābāhuḥ chinnabāhuḥ mahāsvanaḥ kham
ca gām ca diśaḥ ca eva nādayan jaladaḥ yathā
7. chinnabāhuḥ mahābāhuḥ saḥ mahāsvanaḥ nādayan

7. He, the mighty-armed Kabandha, with his arms severed, fell with a great roar, causing the sky, the earth, and even the directions to resound, just like a thundercloud.
