वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-2, chapter-25, verse-4

सीते विमुच्यतामेषा वनवासकृता मतिः ।
बहुदोषं हि कान्तारं वनमित्यभिधीयते ॥४॥
4. sīte vimucyatāmeṣā vanavāsakṛtā matiḥ ,
bahudoṣaṃ hi kāntāraṃ vanamityabhidhīyate.
4. sīte vimucyatām eṣā vanavāsakṛtā matiḥ
bahudoṣam hi kāntāram vanam iti abhidhīyate
4. sīte eṣā vanavāsakṛtā matiḥ vimucyatām hi
kāntāram bahudoṣam vanam iti abhidhīyate
4. O Sītā, abandon this resolve (mati) to dwell in the forest. For the wilderness (kāntāra) is indeed said to be a forest (vana) with many dangers (doṣa).
