वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-2, chapter-25, verse-15

वनं तु नेतुं न कृता मतिस्तदा बभूव रामेण यदा महात्मना ।
न तस्य सीता वचनं चकार तत्ततो ऽब्रवीद् राममिदं सुदुःखिता ॥१५॥
15. vanaṃ tu netuṃ na kṛtā matistadā babhūva rāmeṇa yadā mahātmanā ,
na tasya sītā vacanaṃ cakāra tattato'bravīd rāmamidaṃ suduḥkhitā.
15. vanam tu netum na kṛtā matiḥ tadā
babhūva rāmeṇa yadā mahātmanā na
tasya sītā vacanam cakāra tat
tataḥ abravīt rāmam idam suduḥkhitā
15. yadā mahātmanā rāmeṇa vanam netum
matiḥ tadā na kṛtā babhūva tu sītā
tasya vacanam na cakāra tataḥ
suduḥkhitā idam rāmam abravīt tat
15. But then, when the great-souled (mahātman) Rama had not made the intention to take (her) to the forest, Sita did not heed his words. Thereupon, deeply distressed, she said this to Rama.
