वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-2, chapter-25, verse-11

नदीनिलयनाः सर्पा नदीकुटिलगामिनः ।
तिष्ठन्त्यावृत्य पन्थानमतो दुःखतरं वनम् ॥११॥
11. nadīnilayanāḥ sarpā nadīkuṭilagāminaḥ ,
tiṣṭhantyāvṛtya panthānamato duḥkhataraṃ vanam.
