द्व्यधिके तु विना राशिं भागास्तिथियुतास्तथा ॥८॥

Subtract (the difference) from four (signs), divide the obtained result by two, and then add thirty; this constitutes the aspect (dṛṣṭi). However, if the difference exceeds two signs but is less than three signs, then the degrees should be added to fifteen in a similar manner.
