भृगोस्तु भृगवो देवाः पुत्रा ह्यङ्गिरसः सुताः ।
एष सर्गश्च मारीचो विज्ञेयः साम्प्रताधिपः ॥३॥

3. bhṛgostu bhṛgavo devāḥ putrā hyaṅgirasaḥ sutāḥ .
eṣa sargaśca mārīco vijñeyaḥ sāmpratādhipaḥ.

3. bhṛgoḥ tu bhṛgavaḥ devāḥ putrāḥ hi aṅgirasaḥ sutāḥ
eṣaḥ sargaḥ ca mārīcaḥ vijñeyaḥ sāmpratādhipaḥ

3. Indeed, the Bhṛgu deities are the sons of Bhṛgu, and the Aṅgirasas are also considered sons (of Aṅgiras). This lineage of Mārīca (Kaśyapa) should be known as possessing the current supremacy.
