मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-33, verse-5

दीर्घमायुरथैश्वर्यं कुर्वाणस्तु त्रयोदशीम् ।
अवाप्रोति न सन्देहः श्राद्धं श्रद्धापरो नरः ॥५॥
5. dīrghamāyurathaiśvaryaṃ kurvāṇastu trayodaśīm .
avāproti na sandehaḥ śrāddhaṃ śraddhāparo naraḥ.
5. dīrgham āyuḥ atha aiśvaryam kurvāṇaḥ tu trayodaśīm
avāpnoti na sandehaḥ śrāddham śraddhāparaḥ naraḥ
5. A man who, full of faith (śraddhā), performs the thirteenth day ritual (śrāddha) certainly obtains long life and prosperity; there is no doubt about this.
