मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-33, verse-2

श्रियं प्राप्रोति पञ्चम्यां षष्ठ्यां पूज्यो भवेन्नरः ।
गणाधिपत्यं सप्तम्यामष्टम्यां वृद्धिमुत्तमाम् ॥२॥
2. śriyaṃ prāproti pañcamyāṃ ṣaṣṭhyāṃ pūjyo bhavennaraḥ .
gaṇādhipatyaṃ saptamyāmaṣṭamyāṃ vṛddhimuttamām.
2. śriyam prāpnoti pañcamyām ṣaṣṭhyām pūjyaḥ bhavet
naraḥ gaṇādhipatyam saptamyām aṣṭamyām vṛddhim uttamām
2. One obtains prosperity on the fifth day. On the sixth day, a person becomes worthy of reverence. On the seventh day, one attains leadership over groups, and on the eighth day, supreme prosperity.
