महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-2, chapter-32, verse-5

राज्ञां तु प्रतिपूजार्थं संजयं संन्ययोजयत् ।
कृताकृतपरिज्ञाने भीष्मद्रोणौ महामती ॥५॥
5. rājñāṁ tu pratipūjārthaṁ saṁjayaṁ saṁnyayojayat ,
kṛtākṛtaparijñāne bhīṣmadroṇau mahāmatī.

5. As for the honoring of the kings, he appointed Sañjaya. Bhīṣma and Droṇa, both highly intelligent, were appointed to oversee what was done and what was not done (i.e., to ensure correct execution).
