महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-14, chapter-96, verse-12

स तान्प्रसादयामास शापस्यान्तो भवेदिति ।
तैश्चाप्युक्तो यदा धर्मं क्षेप्स्यसे मोक्ष्यसे तदा ॥१२॥
12. sa tānprasādayāmāsa śāpasyānto bhavediti ,
taiścāpyukto yadā dharmaṁ kṣepsyase mokṣyase tadā.
12. saḥ tān prasādayāmāsa śāpasya antaḥ bhavet iti taiḥ
ca api uktaḥ yadā dharmam kṣepsyase mokṣyase tadā
12. saḥ tān prasādayāmāsa śāpasya antaḥ bhavet iti ca taiḥ api
uktaḥ tadā (tvam) yadā dharmam kṣepsyase (tadā tvam) mokṣyase
12. He (the mongoose) then propitiated them (the ancestors), hoping for an end to his curse. And they, in turn, told him: 'You will achieve liberation (mokṣa) when you cast away your natural law (dharma).'
