महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-346, verse-7

मूलं फलं वा पर्णं वा पयो वा द्विजसत्तम ।
आहारहेतोरन्नं वा भोक्तुमर्हसि ब्राह्मण ॥७॥
7. mūlaṁ phalaṁ vā parṇaṁ vā payo vā dvijasattama ,
āhārahetorannaṁ vā bhoktumarhasi brāhmaṇa.
7. mūlam phalam vā parṇam vā payaḥ vā dvijasattama
āhārahetoḥ annam vā bhoktum arhasi brāhmaṇa
7. O best among the twice-born (dvija), O Brahmin, you should partake of roots, or fruits, or leaves, or milk, or food for your sustenance.
