महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-22, verse-15

भवितव्यं तथा तच्च यद्वृत्तं भरतर्षभ ।
दिष्टं हि राजशार्दूल न शक्यमतिवर्तितुम् ॥१५॥
15. bhavitavyaṁ tathā tacca yadvṛttaṁ bharatarṣabha ,
diṣṭaṁ hi rājaśārdūla na śakyamativartitum.

diṣṭam hi rājaśārdūla na śakyam ativartitum
15. bharatarṣabha tat ca yat vṛttam tathā bhavitavyam

15. What is destined to happen, and what has already occurred, O best among Bharatas, that indeed cannot be overcome. For destiny, O tiger among kings, cannot be transgressed.
