महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-6, verse-5

तां ददर्श स्वयं ब्रह्मा सर्वलोकपितामहः ।
रुदतीं बाष्पपूर्णाक्षीं भृगोर्भार्यामनिन्दिताम् ।
सान्त्वयामास भगवान्वधूं ब्रह्मा पितामहः ॥५॥
5. tāṁ dadarśa svayaṁ brahmā sarvalokapitāmahaḥ ,
rudatīṁ bāṣpapūrṇākṣīṁ bhṛgorbhāryāmaninditām ,
sāntvayāmāsa bhagavānvadhūṁ brahmā pitāmahaḥ.

5. Brahmā himself, the grandfather of all worlds, saw her, the blameless wife of Bhṛgu, weeping with eyes full of tears. The venerable grandfather, Brahmā, then consoled his daughter-in-law.
