महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-11, verse-15

क्षत्रियस्य तु यो धर्मः स नेहेष्यति वै तव ।
दण्डधारणमुग्रत्वं प्रजानां परिपालनम् ॥१५॥
15. kṣatriyasya tu yo dharmaḥ sa neheṣyati vai tava ,
daṇḍadhāraṇamugratvaṁ prajānāṁ paripālanam.
