योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-7, chapter-15, verse-16

अवस्तुन्येति सर्गादौ न संभवति कारणम् ।
अतोऽहंत्वादि नास्त्वेववन्ध्यासुत इव क्वचित् ॥ १६ ॥
avastunyeti sargādau na saṃbhavati kāraṇam ,
ato'haṃtvādi nāstvevavandhyāsuta iva kvacit 16

ahaṃtvādi na asti eva vandhyāsuta iva kvacit

16. A cause cannot exist in what is non-existent (or unreal) at the beginning of creation. Therefore, the sense of ego (ahaṃtva) and similar concepts certainly do not exist anywhere, much like a barren woman's son.
