श्रीवसिष्ठ उवाच ।
अथैवंप्रायया तत्र विश्रम्भकथया चिरम् ।
प्राक्तनस्नेहगर्भिण्या स्थित्वोवाचायुधाभिधः ॥ २ ॥

athaivaṃprāyayā tatra viśrambhakathayā ciram ,
prāktanasnehagarbhiṇyā sthitvovācāyudhābhidhaḥ 2

2. Śrī Vasiṣṭha said: Then, after having remained there for a long time engaged in an intimate conversation of such a nature, imbued with their past affection, the one named Āyudha spoke.
