वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-1, chapter-63, verse-3

अयं सुरपते घोरो विश्वामित्रो महामुनिः ।
क्रोधमुत्स्रक्ष्यते घोरं मयि देव न संशयः ।
ततो हि मे भयं देव प्रसादं कर्तुमर्हसि ॥३॥
3. ayaṃ surapate ghoro viśvāmitro mahāmuniḥ ,
krodhamutsrakṣyate ghoraṃ mayi deva na saṃśayaḥ ,
tato hi me bhayaṃ deva prasādaṃ kartumarhasi.

mahā-muniḥ krodham utsrakṣyate ghoram
mayi deva na saṃśayaḥ tataḥ hi me
bhayam deva prasādam kartum arhasi
3. sura-pate deva,
ayam ghoraḥ mahā-muniḥ viśvāmitraḥ.
he mayi ghoram krodham utsrakṣyate,
na saṃśayaḥ.
tataḥ hi deva me bhayam; prasādam kartum arhasi.
3. O lord of gods, this Viśvāmitra is a formidable great sage. He will unleash terrible anger upon me, O god; there is no doubt. Therefore, O god, you ought to grant me favor, for I feel fear.
