महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-97, verse-9

अत्र सूर्यांशुभिर्भिन्नाः पातालतलमाश्रिताः ।
मृता दिवसतः सूत पुनर्जीवन्ति ते निशि ॥९॥
9. atra sūryāṁśubhirbhinnāḥ pātālatalamāśritāḥ ,
mṛtā divasataḥ sūta punarjīvanti te niśi.

mṛtāḥ divasataḥ sūta punaḥ jīvanti te niśi
9. Here, O Sūta, those who dwell in the nether regions (Pātāla), tormented by the sun's rays, die during the day and come back to life again at night.
