महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-97, verse-3

अत्रासुरोऽग्निः सततं दीप्यते वारिभोजनः ।
व्यापारेण धृतात्मानं निबद्धं समबुध्यत ॥३॥
3. atrāsuro'gniḥ satataṁ dīpyate vāribhojanaḥ ,
vyāpāreṇa dhṛtātmānaṁ nibaddhaṁ samabudhyata.

vyāpāreṇa dhṛtātmānam nibaddham samabudhyata
3. Here, the demon Agni (fire), which sustains itself by consuming water, constantly burns. Through this activity (vyāpāra), he understood his self (ātman) to be both maintained and confined.
