न च दित्ससि तेभ्यस्तांस्तच्छमं कः करिष्यति ॥९॥

9. pañca pañcaiva lipsanti grāmakānpāṇḍavā nṛpa ,
na ca ditsasi tebhyastāṁstacchamaṁ kaḥ kariṣyati.

O king, the Pāṇḍavas desire merely five villages. And since you refuse to give those to them, who will bring about peace?
