महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-53, verse-7

पित्र्यं राज्यं महाराज कुरवस्ते सजाङ्गलाः ।
अथ वीरैर्जितां भूमिमखिलां प्रत्यपद्यथाः ॥७॥
7. pitryaṁ rājyaṁ mahārāja kuravaste sajāṅgalāḥ ,
atha vīrairjitāṁ bhūmimakhilāṁ pratyapadyathāḥ.
7. pitryam rājyam mahārāja kuravaḥ te sa-jāṅgalāḥ
atha vīraiḥ jitām bhūmim akhilām prati apadyathāḥ
7. O great king, your ancestral kingdom, along with the Jāṅgala region, belonged to the Kurus. Moreover, you then took possession of the entire land that had been conquered by heroes.
