महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-5, verse-8

यदि तावच्छमं कुर्यान्न्यायेन कुरुपुंगवः ।
न भवेत्कुरुपाण्डूनां सौभ्रात्रेण महान्क्षयः ॥८॥
8. yadi tāvacchamaṁ kuryānnyāyena kurupuṁgavaḥ ,
na bhavetkurupāṇḍūnāṁ saubhrātreṇa mahānkṣayaḥ.
8. yadi tāvat śamam kuryāt nyāyena kuru-puṅgavaḥ na
bhavet kuru-pāṇḍūnām saubhrātreṇa mahān kṣayaḥ
8. If the chief of the Kurus were to justly establish peace, then there would not be a great destruction for the Kurus and Pandavas; instead, good brotherhood would prevail.
