ययातिरुवाच ।
सुरर्षिगन्धर्वनरावमानात्क्षयं गता मे यदि शक्र लोकाः ।
इच्छेयं वै सुरलोकाद्विहीनः सतां मध्ये पतितुं देवराज ॥४॥

Yayati said: 'O Shakra, O King of gods, if my worlds have been destroyed due to the disrespect shown by Surarshis, Gandharvas, and humans, then I would indeed wish to fall among the virtuous, even if I am deprived of the celestial realms.'
