महानिर्वाण-तन्त्रम्       mahānirvāṇa-tantram - chapter-11, verse-168

आगच्चतो गुरून् दृष्ट्वा नोत्तिष्ठेद्यो मदान्वितः ।
तथैव कुलशास्त्राणि शुध्येदेकोपवासतः ॥१६८॥
168. āgaccato gurūn dṛṣṭvā nottiṣṭhedyo madānvitaḥ ,
tathaiva kulaśāstrāṇi śudhyedekopavāsataḥ.
168. āgaccato gurūn dṛṣṭvā na uttiṣṭhet yaḥ mada-anvitaḥ
tathā eva kula-śāstrāṇi śudhyet eka-upavāsataḥ
168. yaḥ madānvitaḥ āgaccato gurūn dṛṣṭvā na uttiṣṭhet
tathā eva kula-śāstrāṇi eka-upavāsataḥ śudhyet
168. If a person, blinded by arrogance, does not rise up upon seeing the teachers approaching, he becomes purified by observing a one-day fast, as prescribed by the family scriptures.
