महानिर्वाण-तन्त्रम्       mahānirvāṇa-tantram - chapter-11, verse-12

सत्यमुक्तं त्वया देवि मनुजानां विचेष्टितम् ।
जानन्तोऽपि हितं मत्ताः पापैराशु सुखप्रदैः ॥१२॥
12. satyamuktaṁ tvayā devi manujānāṁ viceṣṭitam ,
jānanto'pi hitaṁ mattāḥ pāpairāśu sukhapradaiḥ.
12. satyam uktam tvayā devi manujānāṃ viceṣṭitam
jānantam api hitam mattāḥ pāpaiḥ āśu sukha-pradaiḥ
12. devi,
tvayā manujānāṃ viceṣṭitam satyam uktam.

12. O Devi, what you have spoken about human behavior is true. Although they know what is beneficial, intoxicated people, blinded by sins that quickly yield fleeting pleasure,
