श्रीवसिष्ठ उवाच ।
बलादपि हि संजाता न लिम्पन्त्याशयं सितम् ।
लोभमोहादयो दोषाः पयांसीव सरोरुहम् ॥ २ ॥

Śrī Vasiṣṭha said: Indeed, even if they arise forcefully, faults like greed (lobha) and delusion (moha) do not stain a pure mind, just as waters do not cling to a lotus flower (saroruha).
