अन्यगण्डे च दुर्योगे गामेकां हि प्रदापयेत् ।
गोरभावे च विप्राय दद्यात् तन्मूल्यमेव हि ॥९॥

And in other gaṇḍānta periods or in an unfavorable planetary combination (dur-yoga), one should indeed cause to be given one cow. And if cows are unavailable, one should indeed give their monetary value to a Brahmin (vipra).
