मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-87, verse-3

ते दृष्ट्वा तां समादातुमुद्यमं चक्रुरुद्यताः ।
आकृष्टचापासिधरास्तथान्ये सत्समीपगाः ॥३॥
3. te dṛṣṭvā tāṃ samādātumudyamaṃ cakrurudyatāḥ .
ākṛṣṭacāpāsidharāstathānye satsamīpagāḥ.
3. te dṛṣṭvā tām samādātum udyamam cakruḥ udyatāḥ
ākṛṣṭacāpāsidharāḥ tathā anye satsamīpagāḥ
3. Having seen her, they, being ready (to fight), made an effort to seize her. Some were holding drawn bows and swords, while others approached her closely.
