मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-87, verse-21

अथ मुण्डोऽभ्यधावत्तां दृष्ट्वा चण्डं निपातितम् ।
तमप्यपातयद् भूमौ सा खड्गाभिहतं रुषा ॥२१॥
21. atha muṇḍo'bhyadhāvattāṃ dṛṣṭvā caṇḍaṃ nipātitam .
tamapyapātayad bhūmau sā khaḍgābhihataṃ ruṣā.
21. atha muṇḍaḥ abhyadhāvat tām dṛṣṭvā caṇḍam nipātitam
tam api apātayat bhūmau sā khaḍgābhihatam ruṣā
21. Then, seeing Caṇḍa struck down, Muṇḍa ran towards her. She, in a rage, also struck him down on the ground with a sword-blow.
