मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-87, verse-24

मया तवात्रोपहृतौ चण्डमुण्डौ महापशू ।
युद्धयज्ञे स्वयं शुम्भं निशुम्भं च हनिष्यसि ॥२४॥
24. mayā tavātropahṛtau caṇḍamuṇḍau mahāpaśū .
yuddhayajñe svayaṃ śumbhaṃ niśumbhaṃ ca haniṣyasi.
24. mayā tava atra upahṛtau caṇḍamuṇḍau mahāpaśū
yuddhayajñe svayaṃ śumbhaṃ niśumbhaṃ ca haniṣyasi
24. Here, Chaṇḍa and Muṇḍa, those two great sacrificial animals, have been offered by me for you. In this battle-Vedic ritual (yajña), you yourself will kill Śumbha and Niśumbha.
