मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-104, verse-7

भवतिमिरासवपानमदाद्भवति विलोहितविग्रहता ।
मिहिर विभासि यतः सुतरां त्रिभुवनभावनभानिकरैः ॥७॥
7. bhavatimirāsavapānamadādbhavati vilohitavigrahatā .
mihira vibhāsi yataḥ sutarāṃ tribhuvanabhāvanabhānikaraiḥ.

7. A crimson form arises as if from the intoxication of drinking the liquor of the darkness of worldly existence (saṃsāra). O Sun, you shine with utmost brilliance, for your multitude of rays illuminate and sustain the three worlds.
